Boyd Gaming

Second-largest locals operator; opened Cadence Crossing March 2026
Last verified · May 18, 2026

Boyd Gaming operates 10 Las Vegas-area hotel-casinos plus the Triple 7 Restaurant & Microbrewery inside Main Street Station. Founded 1975 by Sam Boyd (the California Hotel was Boyd's first property; family-owned since); the company's namesake "founder property" — Sam's Town (1979) — is still in the portfolio and still on the original Boulder Highway site.

On March 25, 2026, Boyd opened Cadence Crossing in Henderson — its first new Las Vegas casino in nearly 20 years. The 2004 Coast Casinos acquisition added The Orleans, Gold Coast, and Suncoast (originally Michael Gaughan's properties — Gaughan now runs South Point independently).
