The Lab Notebook

The Lab Notebook

Follow the process. The experiments, the wins, the failures, the weird ideas — what happens when one human directs an AI to rapidly make real software, games, archives and experiments. Newest first.

Homepage rebuilt around real screenshots

Redesigned 1n2.org as a visual showcase: every project card is an actual screenshot captured from the live site, not a mockup. The featured Artist Fighter shot is a real auto-fight — Rembrandt vs Seurat, health bars and all. Nine projects, 531 KB of optimized WebP, one fast static page.

A press room and a fan magazine

Spun up /press/ — a real press release for every public product — and /read/, a fan magazine that reads the press room and argues about what 1n2 is actually for. Both generated from one script so new projects slot in.

Artist Fighter 1.5.0 — The Reckoning

Finishers now play the full killing-stroke animation with paint-blood in each artist's own style. Added grappling to every fighter — Caravaggio got a piledriver — plus crouch attacks and real super hitboxes. Roughly 4,940 tweened frames per artist across 28 animation chains.

Mad Patrol X finds its timing

Tuned the shooting to feel like Moon Patrol, not a bullet hose: only a few shots alive at once, so you learn to time them. Still one HTML file, still runs offline.

WCN Hub crosses 1,600 episodes

The World Crypto Network archive now holds 1,638 episodes across six shows, with transcripts, a wiki, and 27 research reports footnoted straight to the tape. An independent, static record that outlives the platforms.

Curio Hub: five tools, one data spine

Pulled the Curio Cards work together — archive, oracle, charts, wiki and map — onto a single daily-refreshed data spine, so every tool tells the same truth.

The standing rules

Everything ships static. No frameworks to rot, no servers to babysit, no accounts. The AI supplies the tireless part — thousands of frames, scraped archives, repeated visual grammars. The human keeps the rare part: deciding what's worth making.
