Book cover
What an interesting idea by Steve Martin, who has always been interesting. The first half is a comic book biography of his life through his movies, similar to Mel Brooks or any other great artists, biography. It goes film by film, filling you in on some fun behind the scenes stories from some of your some of the greatest Steve Martin movies. The second half entitled, let's see and other diversions, is a surprisingly Far Side humor take on the world by Steve Martin. It still has that Steve Martin feeling to it, but the single panel nature of it, one giant panel per page, just gives it a Far Side feeling, and especially the talking animals and some of the other details. It's something I didn't know that Steve Martin had in him and I read his autobiography, so I'm surprised, but I'm definitely enjoying this quick flip through. They're pretty fast to read, so I'm probably gonna read the second half of it sitting right here. But I definitely enjoyed Steve Martin's number one is walking my life in the movies and other diversions where he's worked together with Harry bliss, to do the drawings, and some of his great observations come to life. And this joyful, easy to read book.
