Koji Kondo's Super Mario Bros. Soundtrack by Andrew Schartmann - ★★★★

Amazing that so much could start with only four pieces of music. Amazing to see the score for things like the 1-UP and to picture the way that power ups and jumping always go up the scale, while losing power or climbing down always follows as well. "Mickey Mousing" by movie standards, but it set the tone for an entire industry. Also great because it reminded me I can read music, although usually only if I hear the tune beforehand and play it back. Want more 33 1/3 books! :)
