Fremont Hotel & Casino opened 1956 on Fremont Street — at the time, the tallest building in Nevada. [[operator:boyd-gaming|Boyd Gaming]] acquired the property in 1985 and integrated it into the downtown three (California + Fremont + Main Street Station).
